Validation Campain in Volkach 10.6 – 26.6.2024 15. July 2024

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we were able to successfully present our scientific and technical work to a broad public at the A.H.E.A.D. (https://projekt-ahead.de/) demonstration at the “Bundeswehr” area in Volkach. In the two demonstration scenarios, a humanitarian aid delivery was successfully simulated with the World Food Programme, and in the afternoon a disaster exercise was carried out with the Bayerisches Rotes Kreuz (BRK), in which a person was rescued from a flooding situation. In addition to numerous emergency services and experts from the WFP and the BRK, the teleoperated SHERP was at the centre of this demonstration, with the aim of keeping the driver out of the danger zone.
We are particularly pleased that the two demos went so well and that the high-ranking political presence reacted positively to our validation campaigns.
